Pleated blinds are the ideal solution to controlling the amount of light admitted by awkwardly shaped windows and doors. Pleated blinds are a stylish alternative to the nets and voiles of yesteryear’s fashion.

  •   a great way to play with shade and create the colour in your room.

Pleated (plisse) blinds are something different and very useful for those difficult doors and windows. As they can fit directly on to UPVC they are ideal for tilt and turn windows, or non-rectangular shapes. With solar reflective backing, the blinds can help to reduce the heat in your rooms too.

Developments like the Duette® 25mm fabrics are twin layered pleated blinds creating a honeycomb appearance to trap the air and act as an an insulator. Designed primarily for rectangular blinds, they are especially good as blackout blinds as there are no visible tension cords or cord holes.

Pleated blinds combine stylish design with practical glare reflection for temperature control. These blinds are the most popular choice for conservatory roof blinds as they are suitable for all shapes and sizes. The contemporary appearance gives an uncluttered finish, soften the light, insulate and provide privacy.

ELECTRIC PLEATED BLINDS

In conservatories, orangeries or glass extensions shading is a necessity. Automatically controlled shading devices are most effective in reducing the amount of energy consumed in both summer and winter.

The choice of shading solution is extensive - pleated, roller, roman, pinoleum, venetian and vertical blinds are all suitable for motorisation, both for side windows and glass roofs.

Automated control increases the lifetime of the blinds without incorrect handling and removes the need for unsightly manual openers.

With large numbers of blinds, automation can significantly speed up the opening and retraction process. The devices enable you to control one-at-a-time, a set number or all of the blinds together.

The SMART conservatory can be achieved easily. If you are having a new conservatory installed, think about your requirements early on in the planning process, so that there is power nearby.
